Today closes with some more clouds moving in after midnight. Saturday will be similar to Friday’s conditions, with mostly cloudy skies dominating throughout the day. A shortwave trough has brought somewhat cooler temperatures to our area, alongside a few spotty showers here and there. Saturday morning will potentially see some of those showers in the morning area, though they will not likely last past noon. Moisture is still ever-present, making humidity during this weekend somewhat uncomfortable, though temperatures in the low 80s and upper 70s should make conditions a lot more bearable.

More clouds will contribute to an overcast Saturday night, which will persist through Sunday as well. A chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms lingers during Sunday afternoon, but exact timings and impacts are unclear. Due to a lack of notable instability due to cloud cover, however, any storms likely will not be severe. As the shortwaves move away from us, drier conditions are expected momentarily, before another troughing pattern with a low pressure system likely will return rain to our area.
