Forecast Discussion

A beautiful stretch of calm and abnormally dry weather is in store for us this week due to a deep trough over much of the eastern United States. Overnight tonight, clouds will decrease as pressure continues to increase, leaving only a few clouds to move in and out of Tuesday. With a high temperature of 77 degrees and a light breeze below 10 mph, Tuesday will be a gorgeous day best spent outside. Similar conditions will persist overnight as skies become clear, and Wednesday will see sunny skies amidst stronger high pressure.

Warming from this pattern will begin to occur once the trough moves out of the area and a building ridge becomes the dominant force across the Midwest. While pressure remains high, a daytime temperature of 82 degrees is to be expected on Thursday, then 89 degrees on Friday. Cloud cover still remains minimal, and precipitation is highly unlikely, though by Saturday, a high in the low 90s is possible amidst a few more scattered clouds as more moisture gets funneled into the area.
