A wet Christmas indeed! Rain today will continue through the night as a warm front slowly creeps its way into our area overnight. Rainfall around this timeframe could total to a quarter of an inch or so. Winds will also be a bit breezy, with gusts up to 25 mph. Rain will taper off around the morning hours of Tuesday, though a chance of scattered showers still remains during a cloudy day. Entering the warm sector of this low pressure system will keep temperatures in an unseasonable 60 degrees tomorrow as well.

Wednesday night will see a chance of rain increase more as the evening arrives due to the approaching cold front. A few rumbles of thunder are possible during this time as well, though any possibility of damaging storms is minimal. Rainfall could total to half an inch during this time as well. Rainfall chances taper off early Wednesday morning, though once again, a chance of isolated post-frontal rain showers is possible during Wednesday. Despite the passage of the fronts, the low pressure moving into the Ohio Valley could also spur up a few flurries or rain showers during the night on Thursday as cold air rushes into the area later this week. By the end of the week, temperatures could be in the mid 40s, which is more reasonable for this time of year.
