Tonight, a chance of light snow grows overnight as a low pressure further south of us makes its way more northward. The snow will likely last until the morning hours of Tuesday, with accumulations up to an inch or so. Throughout much of the morning, cloudy skies will persist, though by the later afternoon, more breaks in the clouds will transition to partly cloudy skies by the evening. Overnight Tuesday, temperatures will rapidly plummet to a chilling 4 degrees due to clear skies. Flash freezing could also be possible should any melting occur during the day Tuesday, so be extra vigilant of the ice and cold hazards should you be out during the night.
Wednesday will see sunny weather, but much breezier, with gusts up to 25 mph. Combined with a high of only 26 degrees, wind chill could make the high on Wednesday feel down to the 10s. Be sure to bundle up. Thursday will cloudy weather return as another shot of snow could enter the region late Thursday and into Friday. Accumulations from this storm are still highly debatable, but consensus favors up to 3 inches potentially. While not a crippling storm, attention should definitely be given to this system once we are later in the week.
