Get ready for another round of heat, since after tonight’s mainly clear skies, a high around 90 degrees with only a few clouds will be expected on Tuesday! This pattern of calm weather is set to continue through Tuesday evening as well, though more clouds will begin to arrive early Wednesday morning, and continue on through the day. A few approaching low pressures are set to shake up our conditions for the rest of the week, so we’ll first start with Wednesday. A wide-spanning cold front could potentially lead to a few isolated showers and possibly a storm later on Wednesday, though any precipitation that does occur will be short lived and sporadic.

On Thursday, a marginal risk is already in place for a shortwave-driven line of storms that could reach the Athens area by the afternoon following the same front. While we are still a few days out to be giving specific severe details, keep in mind the potential for nasty weather on this day. A few more showers and storms are possible on Friday afternoon as well, and while Saturday may only see a passing shower, the conditions up until that point will be relatively cloudy and humid, with temperatures hanging in the low to mid 80s. Seems like our pleasant spring weather is all behind us now!
