Forecast Discussion
With a cold front currently passing over the Athens area, we will see a drop in temperature until tomorrow, in which they will remain for another day. Temperatures will start to rise again on Thursday to the lower 40’s, and to the lower 50’s on Friday. With the current below freezing temperatures and the cold front passing, we will most likely see snow in some hours of the night tonight. The precipitation should clear up after tonight, and there will be no more precipitation until Friday afternoon. The high temperature for tomorrow is likely going to be in the low 30’s, and will drop into the low 20’s in the night. Partly cloudy conditions will persist until Friday, when it will be mainly cloudy and rainy. Rain will most likely continue on through Saturday, when the high temperature will rise into the mid to upper 50’s.
