Current radar shows showers creeping up into our area from the south due to Gulf moisture moving in this evening. Clearing should occur later tonight periodically but showers will return tomorrow as moisture continues to move in along with some upper level disturbances. This will precede the cold front that will move through on Wednesday bringing even more rain throughout the day, with a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms. The continued rain over the next couple days will drop between 1-2″, with the possibility for locally heavy downpours should storms get strong enough Wednesday. Showers will linger into Thursday morning as the front clears our area, with highs dropping into the 60s before returning into the 70s to end the week. Lows will fall into the upper 40s.
