We are expected to see another 1 to 2 inches of rainfall tonight and into early Sunday morning. With already saturated soils from our rain and snow earlier in the week, we have an increased flood risk. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Athens County. This will be in effect until late Sunday night. For more information, see the NWS website.

A warm front will make its way into our area tonight and will bring temperatures into the upper 40s and low 50s. This will also cause our rain showers to be heavier at times. As we enter into Sunday morning a cold front will move through the area causing temperatures to drop throughout the day and our rain showers to transition to snow showers around noon. By Sunday evening, the snow will clear and we will have a cloudy and cold night with lows dipping down into the upper teens. We will start a short-lived dry spell on Monday, however, another wintry system will come through our area Wednesday into Thursday. We can also expect highs to stay in the 20s till the end of the week as we continue to have arctic air move into our region.
