Forecast Discussion

Although some isolated storms with this unstable air mass are possible tonight, a quiet pattern is expected through the majority of this week. With the passage of a cold front earlier today, temperatures will drop somewhat into the mid-80s and be more pleasant as compared to the temperatures that prompted Heat Advisories last week. The nice and dry weather that is expected at least through Wednesday will be brought to us by upper-level ridging as a courtesy of the dominant high-pressure system that is parked over the southwestern U.S.

On Thursday, there will be showers and thunderstorms possible with an upper-level trough digging further down into the region ahead of a cold front, bringing storms riding along the ridge, but model guidance is currently not favoring anything significant. Stay tuned for more updates as we head closer to the end of the week. For now, enjoy the beautiful weather in southeast Ohio!
