The warm and humid weather today is soon to be disrupted by an approaching weak cold front extending from a surface low near Lake Erie. This cold front, which will likely move into the area in the early hours of Sunday morning, will bring a chance of scattered thunderstorms with it. Likely, the impact times will be close to 3-4 am, and with these storms is a marginal chance of wind damage. Temperatures overnight will reach a low of 66 degrees, and winds will shift from the west-northwest to the west-southwest. On Sunday, expect a high of 80 degrees, notably cooler due to the passing cold front. There still persists a chance of showers and maybe a thunderstorm in the area before the early afternoon, but by evening, conditions will mellow and a few breaks in the cloud cover are possible before sundown.
