Fair weather will be the main story for the rest of the weekend as upper level ridging and surface high pressure build into the region. Skies will be clear enough tonight for radiational cooling to occur, which will create patchy fog in some places. Other than the patchy fog, beautiful weather is expected for Father’s Day, as well as for Juneteenth. High pressure will then slide off to the east as an upper level disturbance approaches the area, providing chances for showers and thunderstorms Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon. A brief break in precipitation chances will then occur mid week thanks to upper ridging dominating once again; however, the same upper level disturbance will affect the area by the end of the week, bringing more chances for precipitation.
