A very stubborn, slow-moving upper level low pressure system will keep slight chances for showers and thunderstorms this evening, with conditions clearing out as this disturbance pushes off to the northeast. However, the region is not out of the woods yet, with the potential for severe (southeast Ohio is currently under a slight risk for severe weather) thunderstorms Sunday evening as a surface low pressure system pushes a cold front through. The line of precipitation expected will likely form in west/southwest Ohio and push eastward along the same trajectory as the cold front, making its way into the region towards the evening hours on Sunday. As of now, the main threats will likely be gusty winds, locally heavy rainfall, and small hail. Before this cold front swings through, you can expect Sunday afternoon to be humid and hot as we will be in the warm sector of the low pressure system, putting highs near the low 90s. After the cold front moves through, chances for showers and thunderstorms will still continue unfortunately to start out the new work week thanks to an upper level trough bringing additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms through mid week.
