Forecast Discussion
Upper level ridging and surface high pressure will begin to slide eastward tonight in advance of an upper level trough and surface low pressure system approaching from the west. This low pressure will send a cold front through the area, initially starting out precipitation as snow in the morning hours before changing over to rain by the afternoon. Precipitation chances will linger into early next week as the system slowly pushes northeast, with conditions clearing out by Monday afternoon. No snow accumulation is expected with this system. Upper level ridging will then build back into the area once again, keeping things dry for much of the next week until a potential next low pressure system develops in the Plains and tracks east, providing chances for rain Thursday evening into Friday.
