Forecast Discussion

Summer-like conditions will persist throughout the weekend as a ridging pattern promotes warm, moist air advection out of the south. Overnight lows will only drop into the mid-60s, and highs on Sunday will climb into the upper-80s with mostly sunny skies dominating for the early part of the day. An approaching shortwave trough will promote increased cloud coverage by the late afternoon on Sunday, with chances for scattered showers and storms returning Sunday night. A cold front will swing through early Monday morning, with rain dissipating by noon on Monday. Slightly cooler conditions are expected during the start of the work week from the cold frontal passage, but an upper-level ridging pattern will quickly put SE Ohio in another warming trend, allowing for highs to climb back into the mid-80s by Wednesday.
