Forecast Discussion

Due to the ongoing rain showers that we are experiencing The National Weather Service has issued both a Hazardous Weather Outlook and a Special Weather Statement for Athens County. The Hazardous Weather Outlook is due to our elevated risk for flash flooding through Monday. The Special Weather Statement highlights the ongoing minor flooding in low-lying areas.

Tonight will be a rainy and cloudy night, with little change tomorrow as the rain showers will continue. The showers will clear a bit Sunday night; however, they will return early Monday morning but clear up once again until Monday evening. The rain will continue into Wednesday, when we will have a brief break until they resume again Wednesday night.
