Tonight will close on mostly clear skies, but will see increasing clouds before midnight, becoming overcast in the early morning. Our calm and dry weather will be momentarily interrupted by an approaching trough, which is set to deliver a cold front off of a low pressure system in the early morning hours of Sunday. Along this cold front, rain showers will kick up, beginning after sunrise but tapering off by noon. Despite the unpleasant morning, clouds will scatter in the afternoon hours, with the cold front delivering slightly cooler temperatures and a high in the mid 70s in store.

Overnight Sunday looks to be calm and partly cloudy. Morning fog is possible during Monday morning, and partly cloudy skies will prevail again. Our troughing pattern will move out and develop more into a ridge, meaning pressure will begin to slowly rise over the course of the new week once more. Additionally, temperatures will gradually climb as well, but not nearly to the degree as it was a few weeks ago, as highs only in the early 80s are likely by the late week. After Sunday, no rain seems likely in the forecast for a while, so enjoy the sun and the approaching autumn.
