It was certainly another mild and pleasant day today as we had an area high pressure region over southern Appalachian dominating today and will continue to do so through late afternoon hours of tomorrow. As we head into overnight hours of Sunday night, look for clouds to increase as strong cold front associated with mid-level trough will slowly approaches Athens. There is small chance of some rain showers by Monday morning, but better chances showers and thunderstorm as we head into afternoon-evening hours of Monday into early parts of Tuesday. Cold front should pass through Athens by late Monday evening and will bring in much cooler weather with highs only in low-mid 60’s with morning lows in low-mid 40’s for middle parts of upcoming week.
