Forecast Discussion

Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight with lows dropping into the mid-50s and patchy areas of fog developing. A short-wave trough and upper-level jet streak will keep a slight chance for stray showers on Sunday, but should quickly dissipate by Sunday night. High pressure out of Canada will help to dry us out for the start of the work week, but its influence will quickly weaken by Tuesday with a warm front moving through the region. Temperatures on Tuesday will climb back into the upper-80s, with dewpoints back int he mid-60s, making the air feel hot and muggy again. The next chance for rain looks to come late on Wednesday into Thursday from a stationary front forming near our region.
