Forecast Discussion
Dry weather will persist through tonight with partly cloudy skies and rather warm nighttime lows. A cold front will then approach from the west, bringing shower and thunderstorm chances beginning tomorrow evening into the overnight hours. A marginal risk for severe weather has been issued for southeast Ohio, as model soundings show relatively sufficient CAPE and shear; thus, a severe thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, along with hail and damaging winds. After the cold front moves through, temperatures will be much cooler than the summer-like temperatures we have been feeling. A few lingering showers are possible Tuesday morning as the front passes through. The area then dries out for the rest of the week due to high pressure building overhead. The next active weather pattern will appear over the weekend with another cold front and associated low pressure system approaching.
