Forecast Discussion

A strong, positively tilted trough is going to pass through the region. Starting tonight, SE Ohio will see precipitation in the form of rain, but as the temperatures continue to drop, the rain will transition into snow overnight. Snow flurries are expected to continue through New Year’s Day, with around an inch falling in total. However, less than a tenth is expected to accumulate. Snow flurries should end by the evening hours on Monday. Tuesday should be mostly dry as high pressure fills in.

By Wednesday night, another system will enter the area and bring a small chance for additional snow flurries Wednesday night and possibly into Thursday morning. Friday looks to remain dry and cloudy.
