Forecast Discussion
A few shortwaves in the upper-level jetstream are bringing multiple small systems to the region in the coming days. Tonight a chance of showers is possible and temperatures will drop to just around freezing. Another shortwave will move through Monday bringing another round of showers. On Tuesday a positively titled trough will propagate another system and additional showers. There is a chance for mixed winter precipitation from these showers. The start of the work week will be a cloudy and wet one, to say the least. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 40s and nightly lows just around or below freezing.
Remnants from Tuesday’s system will cause a small chance for snow showers Wednesday morning, but the afternoon should be dry. High pressure will fill in Wednesday afternoon and continue into Thursday and Friday. As a result, temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 50s on Thursday and Friday.
