Forecast Discussion

Being in the warm sector of a western low pressure center means beautiful daytime temperatures to start off the week! A shortwave troughing pattern appears on Tuesday, however, bringing the slightest chance for rain in the later hours of the day. However, this is with the passage of a weakening low pressure center, so nothing too extreme is expected with its passage. In fact, temperatures to climb as warm air is carried into the area ahead of a troughing pattern. Our next real chance for a wash-out appears on Thursday with a developing low pressure center and associated pocket of moisture, which is set to barrel the region all day and chances exist into the overnight hours. Cold air with the frontal passage brings temperatures back into a more seasonable range for this time of year just in time for the weekend.
