Forecast Discussion

A slight shortwave trough makes for an overcast night into Monday, and generally clouds stick around. Temperatures also drop close to freezing quite quickly. Upper level ridging preserves dry conditions, and warm air advection into a troughing pattern makes for some unseasonable warm conditions right before we see a series of systems hit the Southeast Ohio region. Because of all those warm temperatures, precipitation will fall as rain. Right now, models are predicting for the cold frontal passage to happen early on Wednesday.

A series of low pressure systems barrels through the area to bring cloudy skies and the chance for rain for the middle to end of the week, drying up a little on Friday. We do see the chance for some overnight precip into Saturday, and since temperatures hover right around freezing, we could see a rain-snow mix. Make sure you continue to stay updated with the system as the weekend approaches!
