Technical Forecast Discussion Meet the Forecaster

Forecast Discussion

Dry weather will continue through mid-week as high pressure dominates overhead. A warming trend will resume Monday, and temperatures will climb back to the lower 90s by Wednesday. Rain showers will return Wednesday night ahead of an impending low that looks to stall late this week. Scattered showers and thunderstorms look likely Wednesday through Friday, unfortunately, as the cold front slowly makes its way through the area. I wouldn’t lose hope if you have plans on the 4th though, as we currently only have long-term model runs. As short-term models come into range, we will have a clearer picture on timing, which may allow for the possibility of a break in rain for evening show. So, make sure to check back!

This is my last daily forecast as Lead Forecaster for Scalia Laboratory, and I want to say thank you for putting your trust in me to provide accurate weather forecasts and updates for Athens County and SE Ohio for the last year!
