Forecast Discussion

The low pressure center the brought us rain for the better part of Sunday, and while this weakening center slowly creeps to the east, we still see lasting chances for rain or snow throughout the day on Monday. Precipitation type will vary as the temperature fluctuates around the freeing point, but overnight and early morning Monday, expect possible snow flurries, and throughout the day, expect the chance for rain. This lasts until Tuesday, when ridging dominates in the region and works to lift pressure at the surface. That sharp pressure gradient will cause winds to remain quite gusty for the early part of the week. Once we are in the clear from this system, expect overall seasonable conditions with cold temperatures and westerly winds before a deeper low pressure arrives later in the week, bringing our next chance for rain.
