Due to strong high-pressure along the east coast that extends well into the Midwest, Athens will remain relatively cloudless with calm winds. These conditions will likely produce radiation fog due to rapidly cooling air near the ground. Also, a lack of cloud cover overnight could lead to possible fog formation. However, this fog will eventually dissipate by late Monday morning when temperatures warm. Tomorrow’s weather conditions will closely resemble the patterns that occurred today, only temperatures will be warmer tomorrow.

Strong high-pressure, moist air fluxes from the Gulf of Mexico, and the proximity of Athens behind a warm front will allow for temperatures to warm significantly into the mid-seventies and create a beautiful day. Monday night, the overnight low will remain in the upper forties and mostly clear skies will follow. Make sure to take advantage of this weather – Tuesday will be less pleasant. A low-pressure system with an advancing cold front is expected to bring chances of rain on Tuesday, and likely rain Tuesday night and Wednesday. Once this front passes, Thursday will allow for high pressure and nicer weather to return but not as warm as what is expected tomorrow.
