Technical Forecast Discussion
Short-term Forecast (Sunday 09/15/2024 through Tuesday 09/17/2024):
High pressure will continue to dominate tonight into tomorrow keeping skies clear and conditions dry. Due to the low relative humidity values as well as winds increasing, fire concern is elevated. Beginning Monday night, cloud coverage over the area will begin to increase as a disturbance progresses northeasterly toward the Atlantic and delivers some moisture to us. This low has the potential to deliver some rain due to the increasing moisture but, it is unlikely as of now. Otherwise, another uneventful forecast! Temperatures will remain in the low to mid 80s for our daytime high and dropping into the upper 50s for overnight lows.
Long-term Forecast (Wednesday 09/18/2024 through Saturday 09/21/2024):
Some cloud coverage and the minimal chance of rain will stick around throughout Wednesday. Following the low’s progression out to the east and out of the region, high pressure will build back into the area. This will clear the skies and return the uneventful forecasts seen all last week with sunny conditions and daytime highs in the low to mid 80s.
