Forecast Discussion

A cold front will continue to pass through the region tonight. This front will create thunderstorms and rain showers which will linger throughout the evening and into Friday morning. Cooler temperatures are to be expected this weekend as a result of this cold front moving down from the North with low temperatures reaching down into the mid-50s. A high pressure system has become dominate in the Eastern side of Canada which will push some higher pressure into Southern Ohio. This high pressure will help maintain calm conditions later this weekend.  Athens and the surrounding area should also expect lower humidity and mostly sunny skies for the majority of the weekend.
