The National Weather Service in Charleston, WV has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 12:00am to 7:00pm Friday, February 1st.

Temperatures will continue to increase as a trough in the polar jet which brought arctic air leaves the region. Warm moist air coming from the Gulf of Mexico will bring increased chances of precipitation tomorrow and into the weekend. Snow accumulation of 1-3 inches is possible tonight and tomorrow. As the temperature continues to rise there will be periods of snow, sleet and freezing rain. As a warm front begins to come into the region this weekend temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40s.
