Scattered showers and even a mix of light snow flurries have begun to make their way into southeast Ohio as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Any precipitation that falls should be light and will clear out mainly by Friday morning, with only a slight chance remaining into Friday night. Much cooler air will usher in behind the front, dropping temperatures down into the 30s tonight, which will support the chances for snow flurries. Saturday will be a mainly dry day as well before a chance of rain and snow reappears on Sunday as the next system arrives. This system will consist of an upper level trough and corresponding low pressure; however, the timing and track are still uncertain. Precipitation should start out in the form of snow, and then transition to rain at daybreak. By the start of the next week, conditions should be relatively dry as the trough moves east, being replaced by surface high pressure. Another system may bring chances for precipitation again mid week, but this is too far out to be clarified at this time.
