This high pressure will effect the area over the next couple days creating fair conditions with calm winds, temperatures in the 90s, and sunny skies. The weather in Athens will remain like this until Saturday night when a cold front begins to approach the area. This cold front will bring slight chances of thunderstorms for Sunday as well as a slight decrease in temperature. Looking into next week, more frontal movement will lead to chances of scattered thunderstorms for the majority of the week and temperatures in the mid 80s.
