Despite today’s nice weather, a return of rain is imminent. Clouds will continue to increase in cover as a shortwave trough pushes into the area overnight. A few showers are possible in the early morning, though a greater chance of rain develops in the later morning. These scattered showers and storms may push into the afternoon, and a few more showers are possible around midnight as well. Thankfully, severe weather seems out of the picture for this round of precipitation. More clouds will continue into the morning of Saturday, and even during Saturday, a few more showers and storms could randomly pop up due to a surplus of instability. During this time, temperatures will remain relatively similar in the mid-to-high 70s.

Finally by Sunday, clouds will begin to move out, opening up a new warm and calm week. Sunday will finally push 80 degrees, with partly cloudy conditions moving to almost completely sunny as high pressure dominates the area by Monday. A high in the upper 80s is possible Tuesday as a prominent ridge develops, prompting this warming trend. For the time being, these days, while hot, will be free of any rain!
