We’ve been sitting comfortably in a trough that has brought us such nice weather and cool temperatures, and even though this pattern is set to leave soon, we can still enjoy tonight and Friday with high pressure dominating our area! Overnight tonight will be calm, and tomorrow looks to be completely sunny with a high in the upper 70s. A few clouds will roll in overnight Friday, as a low pressure system begins to creep into the Midwest. These clouds will only increase in cover as Saturday continues, becoming completely overcast by the afternoon. A few showers may be seen in the late afternoon and evening, though the greatest chance of rain arrives with the passage of the cold front in the early morning hours of Sunday. Thankfully, no thunderstorms are to be expected.

A quick cooldown on Sunday is likely, but we will enter a weak ridging pattern as the week continues that will bump our temperatures up to the high 80s by Tuesday. A few more days of high pressure will be present through Monday, granting us clearer skies and calmer weather, but another low pressure may arrive late Tuesday that could return rain to our area.
