Forecast Discussion
A cold front just moved through this afternoon which brought much needed relief to the hot and humid conditions the last few days. Tonight, the air will likely reach saturation due to the dewpoints being in the low-60s close to the exact low temperature which is likely to form fog. The shortwave trough that brought the cold front will be very slow-moving and will stick around through the weekend and this is all because of a cut-off low. As a result, chances for isolated showers will continue over the weekend especially on Sunday.
Heading into the start of the work week, on Monday, it will be dry with partly cloudy skies. However, a positively tilted trough is expected to progress eastward into the Ohio Valley on Tuesday. This will bring a low-pressure system moving over the Great Lakes with an associated cold front. This will likely bring chances for rain late Tuesday and into the middle of the week.
