For the next several days, we will continue to experience an upper-level ridge, which has brought an extended area of surface high pressure. This is why there haven’t been that many clouds in the sky. That will slightly change on Wednesday Night and Thursday as slightly more cloud coverage will be present, though there still will be ample sunshine throughout the day. This is then followed by less clouds on Friday, similar to today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday). There is a small chance of showers and/or thunderstorms, but it looks like the environment isn’t really providing all the ingredients necessary for precipitation, so the chances are relatively slim. However, if you want some precipitation, you might be in luck, as a broad, intensive trough is expected to come down from Canada, which will bring increasing cloud cover and precipitation from Friday Night into Sunday. This trough will also finally give us relief from the heat wave that we have been dealing with. So, for the high temperatures, it is expected that we will hit high 90s, maybe even break into the triple digits tomorrow. Thursday and Friday are also in the high 90s and the relief (relatively speaking) starts on Saturday and Sunday where the high temperatures will be in the mid to high 80s. It also looks like Monday might be in the low 80s. So, make sure to continue to hydrate the best you can and utilize the AC or shade to your advantage over the next few days. We are almost in the clearing with this heat wave!
