Gusty west/southwesterly winds have been observed most of the day ahead of an anticipating warm front expected to lift north tonight. This will also ignite rain showers along it early Wednesday morning, and bring well above average temperatures during the day, with highs in the 70s. A few rumbles of thunder cannot be ruled out completely, but nothing severe is expected. Gusty winds will still continue with this feature, with gusts up to 25mph possible. After the warm front lifts north out of our area, there may be a brief break in the rain during the day Wednesday, but showers will return by Wednesday evening into Thursday ahead of an approaching cold front. Skies will then likely clear out for Thursday, with highs in the mid 70s in some spots with help from gusty southwesterly flow! The cold front will then finally cross through Thursday evening, quickly dropping temperatures back down to below freezing. Looking ahead into the weekend, another warming trend will begin on Saturday as upper level ridging and surface high pressure build into the area, with highs in the 60s by next Monday.
