Forecast Discussion

The last night of February will feature mainly clear skies thanks to high pressure beginning to build into the area. This surface high pressure will shift off to the east overnight, allowing a warm front to lift north and provide beautiful weather for us on Wednesday, with highs in the mid 70s! Rain and isolated thunderstorm chances will return late Wednesday night as the surface low pressure associated with the warm front approaches from the west. After this low moves out, conditions will dry up for much of Thursday before a much more powerful system approaches Thursday night. This system will bring abundant rain for us Thursday night through Friday, which could lead to flooding concerns in some spots. Gusty winds will also be a threat with a tightening pressure gradient. Conditions will finally dry out by Saturday as high pressure becomes the dominant feature once again, starting the new week off in a rather pleasant pattern.
