Forecast Discussion
Bitterly cold temperatures will continue to impact Athens for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. With highs barely reaching freezing, expect to continue to bundle up if you have any outdoor plans. As our bobcats return to campus this weekend, snow could return Friday and Saturday; thankfully, this event should not be nearly as impactful as Winter Storm Blair has. Make sure you continue to check back in with us as we approach the weekend!
Otherwise, high-pressure and stable conditions will dominate the Ohio Valley for much of this week. Even though the skies will stay perpetually cloudy, winds will stay calm, and conditions will be pleasant. This is a much-needed break from this weekend, and thankfully Athens County is now only under a level 2 snow advisory. Secondary rounds may still be hazardous, so please be cautious if you plan to be on the road!
