Calm conditions as we go into tonight. Unfortunately, those conditions won’t last as we transition into a slight trough tomorrow bringing a stormy pattern for the remainder of the week. We’ll start off with partly cloudy skies Wednesday morning with some isolated showers as a weak warm front moves through. Thunderstorms are expected to develop and move into the area by midafternoon. A marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) has been issued for our area Wednesday for the chance of gusty winds and heavy downpours with some of these storms. Some areas may experience multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening. With already saturated soil from previous rain, this may cause flash flooding in some areas. With this, the WPC has issued a Marginal risk (level 1 out of 4) for excessive rainfall Wednesday through Saturday. Stay cautious of flooded roads and high water through the next few days. Going into Wednesday night, storms are expected to end by midnight leaving partly cloudy skies. Throughout the rest of the week, afternoon thunderstorms are likely with temperatures averaging in the mid to upper 80s.
