Hazardous Weather Outlook

A calm night tonight, with lows in the mid 60s and mostly clear skies. Wednesday will start off hot and humid with sunny skies and a high near 92, but a strong mid-upper level trough will push a cold front through our area beginning in the late afternoon Wednesday. This line will spawn potentially severe thunderstorms, with isolated hail and a few tornadoes not out of the picture. Timing is up in the air at the moment, with models being inconsistent on when the line will push through. It should be expected to come through our area as early as 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, but could be delayed into the early morning hours Thursday. Regardless, the ingredients for severe weather are there so it’s always safe to be prepared! Upon cold frontal passage, high pressure will set in leading to a sunny, but hot end of the week heading into the weekend.
