Today’s sunny and cloudless day will persist into the night, with temperatures falling to a low of 63 degrees. Relatively calm winds from the southeast will pick up to 0-5 mph as the night progresses, and by sunrise tomorrow, a few clouds will be in the sky. Wednesday will see a high of 94 degrees, continuing our hot week. As a troughing pattern develops more into a ridge, high pressure will be prevalent in the morning, slowly falling throughout the day. A small shortwave could promote some storm development late Wednesday, coupled with instability from hot temperatures and dewpoints in the mid 60s. Any chance for severe weather is minimized, however, but storms could be short-lived and sporadic, making planning around them difficult.

Wednesday night, a chance for showers still lingers, but mostly cloudy skies will prevail. Temperatures will drop to 73 degrees, with winds from the southwest at 10-15 mph. Zonal flow will continue, making Thursday hot and partly cloudy once more at a high of 94 degrees. Dew points in the low 70s will make Thursday especially uncomfortable, so be sure to minimize the amount of time outside and stay hydrated. This pattern will persist for the next few days, with temperatures in the high 90s falling to the mid 80s by the weekend. Throughout the weekend, instability by hot temperatures and high dewpoints will allow for pockets of scattered storm development, especially as a troughing pattern develops near the end of the weekend.
