Our hot 4th of July comes to a close with increasing clouds overnight. A few small, isolated storms in the area will taper off by the time the sun sets, and temperatures will fall to 66 degrees as high pressure becomes more prominent in the area. Calm winds today from the west will continue overnight as well. As the sun rises tomorrow, expect similar conditions, with hot temperatures in the low 90s, and scattered clouds in the sky throughout most of the day. As high pressure continues to dominate, winds from the south will be from 0-5 mph. These will drop even more as the evening comes, falling to calm speeds from a variable direction overnight.

Throughout the night Wednesday, expect clear skies and temperatures at 66 degrees once more. Thursday becomes a bit more complex, as a trough north of us begins to lower the pressure, potentially allowing for some scattered thunderstorms in the evening. Throughout the day, however, expect varying degrees of cloud cover, with overcast skies taking over near the evening. Temperatures will remain hot, around 90, and winds from the south will be from 5-10 mph. This weekend, expect slightly cooler temperatures in the mid 80s, mainly partly to mostly cloudy, with a few chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms here and there.
