Tonight, a few more showers and thunderstorms may pop up in the area into the morning. As temperatures rise to 88 degrees on Wednesday, humid weather will make for unpleasant conditions outside. A few isolated or scattered storms may continue to move through the area in the morning, though a break in the rain will be seen through the afternoon into the evening. However, a cold front will push another round of storms through the region early Thursday morning, though a lack of instability will make these storms scattered and likely non-severe. A shower or two may be possible Thursday morning, but skies will generally clear as the front continues eastward and high pressure returns.

High pressure will continue to build as an upper-level ridge begins to dominate weather through the new week. As skies remain clear, temperatures will begin to soar, reaching the mid 90s by Sunday. Despite generally manageable relative humidity, hot weather will pose a risk to anyone spending extended periods of time outside, especially when doing strenuous activity. Be sure to remain hydrated and take breaks. This heat will be here to stay throughout the week as an expansive heatwave occurs across much of the eastern United States.
