After a beautiful Tuesday, slight chances for rain showers will return tonight as a weak disturbance passes overhead. The bulk of precipitation chances will not occur until Wednesday night, however, with a low pressure system expected to approach from the west, sending a frontal boundary through our area. Before and after this front moves through, winds will begin to increase in speed as a pressure gradient tightens, with sustained winds between 15 to 20 mph. Rain shower chances will continue through Saturday as this system passes, with a few rumbles of thunder not to be ruled out. This shower activity will be excessive over the course of these few days, which will potentially lead to localized flooding in low-lying areas. With the low pressure system finally exiting to the northeast Saturday afternoon, conditions will clear out to end the weekend on Sunday.
