Forecast Discussion

Upper level ridging is going to continue keeping us dry through much of Thursday and lead to mostly clear skies tonight. Cold air advection will be in full swing tonight as well, leading to radiational cooling overnight and temperatures dropping into the 20s. Expect mostly sunny skies for Wednesday, with high temperatures about the same as today. Ridging will then gradually begin to shift east on Thursday as a low pressure system approaches from the west, bringing a cold front along with it Thursday night through Friday and therefore increasing chances for rain. Rain may transition to a brief mix of snow Friday night into Saturday morning, but no accumulation is anticipated. High pressure will then briefly build in for the remainder of Saturday before the arrival of another low pressure system from the south early Sunday, with precipitation potentially starting out as a wintry mix once again and then transitioning to rain.
