Forecast Discussion

A cut-off low pressure system will continue to impact us into Wednesday, providing chances for rain showers and even a possible wintry mix Wednesday morning; this is all dependent on how low temperatures get tonight. Winds will also begin to increase in speed as a pressure gradient tightens behind the low, with sustained winds between 15 to 20 mph. After the remnants of the low finally push off to the northeast, dry weather will finally be in the forecast, as well as a gradual warming of temperatures! This will be thanks to upper level ridging and surface high pressure. Fortunately, conditions are likely to clear out in time for graduation at Ohio University this weekend! Models are in disagreement on when the next chances for precipitation will occur, but the best chances look to be early next week as a warm front crosses through the area.
