We are currently on the backside of a trough, which is allowing some cooler air into our area. This trough will soon exit our area tomorrow (Wednesday) evening though as we transition into being under a ridge. This ridge will last for a few days until the jet stream will start to flow more zonally (W to E) on Friday evening into Saturday. This is then followed by the development of a brand new trough in Southern Canada, the Dakotas, and Minnesota around Saturday evening. This trough will strengthen and dig farther south into our area and the broader Ohio River Valley, bringing with it slightly more cloud cover and a slight chance of precipitation on Sunday. But until Sunday, we will be under high pressure, which will generally bring sunny skies. Anyway, here’s a brief summary of the high and low temperatures over the next several days. Tonight’s low will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. Both Tomorrow and Thursday will have highs in the low 70s and lows in the low 30s and mid to upper 30s, respectively. Both Friday and Sunday will have highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 40s and low 40s, respectively. Finally, Saturday will have highs in the upper 70s and lows in the mid 50s. So, be prepared to put on an additional layer or so for the mornings these next few days and enjoy the mild weather!
