A strong ridge will continue to dominate the area, and will keep bringing hot and humid temperatures from the southern US to the area over the next few days. Cooling overnight tonight will create the chance for fog on Wednesday morning, especially in lower lying areas. A low pressure system will move towards our area Wednesday, and bring along a slight chance of some showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening. As it pushes east, the low pressure system will bring along a cold front that will most likely move through the area Friday evening into Saturday, cooling temperatures slightly into the low to middle 80’s for the weekend and bringing some more showers and thunderstorms to start the weekend.
