The isolated showers have begun to wrap up as some cloud cover will linger through the remainder of Wednesday and become partly clear overnight. Rainfall this morning and early evening, calm winds, and partly clear skies will contribute to some patchy fog development later tonight and into the early morning on Thursday. The fog will quickly disperse in the morning as the first part of Thursday starts off mostly sunny and dry. A cold front is expected to approach the region by mid-afternoon and look to finally extend south of the area by Friday morning. Shower and thunderstorms will initiate ahead and along the front with some potential severity for Thursday afternoon/late evening. The SPC has much of Ohio, including southeastern under a “slight” risk category for severe thunderstorms. The primary threat to watch for will be some strong gusty winds and small-severe hail development. Some cloud cover and a small chance for showers will exist through the morning on Friday as low-level moisture is stubborn to finally leave. High pressure fills in from the west and will offer drier and slightly cooler conditions for the second half of Friday and into the weekend.
