Forecast Discussion
Tonight will be frigid with both drifting and light new snow, a moderate breeze is expected to drop the wind chill below zero so be sure to dress accordingly if you need to be outside for any reason. A clipper system is expected to move through Ontario tonight into Friday directing bands of lake effect potentially bringing us 1-2″ of accumulation. Following this a warm front will bring a wintry mix beginning Friday night transitioning to rain on Saturday before returning to the upper teens overnight. Sunday additional snow is expected as the system moves out. Looking forward a deep entrenched trough is expected to bring deep sub zero cold to our area at least until the 22nd and some potential rounds of lake effect are possible in addition to this. A major winter storm is possible around the 23rd as some energy from the gulf is expected to interact with our trough around that timeframe.
